As a prelude to the following entry I would like to make clear that, even though I was born and raised in a Jewish environment, I’ve lived most of my life in a predominantly Christian country and I’ve shared the last ten years with a wonderful buddhist girl. I don’t practice any religion, but I’m extremely interested in mysticism and spirituality. Throughout my journey I’ve been blessed to have made friends from all possible ideologies.

I left Vancouver just as the news about Israel’s incursion into Gaza were breaking. Since my arrival to Mexico City, the subject of the conflict’s latest incarnation has been part of the conversation and, as usual, opinions are highly polarized. Some of my friends and family who respect my opinion have asked me about who I think is right.

Considering the nature of this website and the work I present in it, I’ve decided to explain my position by describing what physicists call dynamic systems. In the universe there are linear and non-linear dynamic systems, the second kind being the most prevalent. A basic difference between the two is their degree of predictability. The results of a linear system, i.e. the acceleration of an apple falling on Isaac Newton’s head or the trajectory of a short range missile, are fairly easy to predict. The results of a non-linear system, i.e. the exact position where an apple will grow on a tree or the personal and social repercussions caused by an exploding missile, are extremely difficult to predict.

What makes non-linear systems so hard to predict is that, besides being affected by an immense number of variables, the resulting magnitude of a variable is not always proportionate to its initial state. This characteristic of non-linear systems is commonly known as ”the butterfly effect”.

Each one of us is a non-linear system. If we were linear systems, most little boys would grow up to be astronauts and firefighters, but life is highly unpredictable and it ends up taking us in unforeseen directions. For years you say you want to be an engineer, but one day you sit down and contemplate the sun dancing over the ocean’s surface, and when you stand up you’ve decided to study graphic design. What spell did the gleaming waves cast over the hypnotized system?; if I knew I would be a wiser man, but I don’t, so here I am a graphic designer. Sometimes it’s very hard to comprehend the non-linearity of our own life, and it’s this uncertainty that makes it stimulating, exciting and dramatic.

A society is a complex non-linear system constituted by the many non-linear systems that we are. A country is composed by countless and diverse social groups, making it an infinitely complex non-linear system. For this reason, anyone claiming to understand the actions, purpose and intentions of a whole country is merely fooling himself (and, unfortunately, sometimes others too).

When trying to understand a non-linear system in a lab, it is important to know with as much accuracy as possible the past, present and future states of all its variables. I’ve already forgotten some of my past and surely have reinvented parts of it, my present is constantly changing and my future is uncertain. Knowing how ignorant I am about the system that is my own self, I would not dare to claim understanding over whole countries, specially those currently experiencing a most chaotic and entropic state.

What I’ve mentioned are just some of the factors that make it impossible for me to take sides. Also, to take a side, I would have to assume that one group could or should win the war, but you cannot win a war more than you can win an earthquake, a tsunami or a tornado. A war is a disaster where we all loose. Adopting a radical position for or against one side or the other does not show knowledge of the system, it only exposes the ignorance and prejudice of the person expressing such opinion. Far from helping solve the problem, radical statements are actually part of it. In a way, many of the innocents suffering today in Gaza and Israel are the victims of radicalized groups within both societies.

So who is right? the Israeli boy who will not see his father return from the border or the Palestinian mother whose son dies in her arms? I refuse to reach any verdicts. All I can say is that my love and compassion is with both of them, and that I feel ashamed to be part of a species that still harms itself in such brutal ways.

It’s been said that the definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Every time the bullets fly, the world takes sides and the conflict is not resolved, it only gets worse. Each side believes their position to be the right one, so they speak and act accordingly, but as Gandhi said: “There is no way to peace, peace is the way.” You are your world, if there is rage, hatred and prejudice in you, they will also manifest in your world. This time I invite you to practice peace and to be part of the solution instead of the problem.

I suggest for us to stop listening to the so-called “experts on the conflict”, these shady figures that inhabit the media and whose position and income depends on the continuation of conflicts. They are incendiary beings that throw more wood on an already huge fire because of their created interests. Instead, lets turn our minds to those who have spoken about how to avoid conflicts in the first place. I’m referring to those giants that defy labels and definitions, those who instead of demanding consensus reach for the truth, those who don’t segregate others or themselves and who look at a stranger and don’t find “the other” but a brother. I am referring to the enlightened beings that have lived in all times and have emerged from all cultures, a congregation that today I’m calling “The League of Un-affiliated Ladies and Gentlemen”. The only way to be included in this select group is by not being eager to belong to any group, so all of the included appear here without their previous consent. I would love to belong in their company, so I’ve been automatically disqualified, but I’m happy just to expose some of its members. I hope that their words and lives resonate with more of us and that through their wisdom we can get closer to the dream of a peaceful World.

THE LEAGUE OF UN-AFFILIATED LADIES AND GENTLEMEN(Very, very partial list.

Answers are in the questions.
Consciousness Watching Consciousness
Do you see beauty and grandeur something more then the mass are you special to see this? privileged? what do you think this hologram of consciousness is trying to strive for in the big picture past any grand play part you think you in my individual world?
Does this record of my life spread further to others in the akashic records? has everything already been done? In the future or in the past? If it has then the purpose of life is what?
If the future is always certain to the future just like the past is certain always to be the past then what does that leave us to experience if its been experienced? What kind of social behaviour are we looking towards if everything has a yin and yang and all energy moves?
Then our perception of good and bad means what?
Destruction of ourselves moving towards what? What are we doing to our human family? Are set belief structures of how we allow people to treat us effecting this certain future? If we decide we don’t like the evil that plagues us then we try to change it and fight back then we really only add to the fire of evil do we not?
Where is this going to take us if we fight evil?
What is it to fight good when you know its good!? Fighting and struggling to find what?
Even if we are to see other dimensional beings and they are evil then what does that make for such a being that can move into our existence?
did we allow it to do so because of what we as humans believe?
Are the beauties of this world in the eyes of my human family going to last into a great life of unconsciousness? Or we always moving in and out of this form even when conscious? Forgetting? Remembering? But we don’t ever really forget or do we choose to? and perhaps this computer we have as a mind will allow us to know for a slight second something profound to only program something that will help us move forward with our life and make a difference in the lives around us only if they choose with their free will to take it.
The grand play of life goes on either way if my rants ask these questions, are we here to truly experience new things do we have a true freedom over our actions or is this fate already pre-programmed by a higher source? If it is then I must be apart of this source too.. Then that means I had a choice in the matter as well even though this small portion of the collective unconsciousness is inside this shell of a body this part knows every other part because its part of one.
But perhaps this one is a certain polarity and there is another one be it another universe balanced in between and we are constantly rubbing up against it as it is with us creating the yin and yang a two part being that moves between and through. But if this is true that would mean there is other polarity universes, where are they going whats beyond that? Does this oneness of this universe know beyond?
Or we as oneness playing this out to find out more about it so we as oneness can find more of whats really going on with these other oneness only to find through all these other oneness’s we become conscious to a even larger oneness…
So in this frame of mind this would be a never ending spiral… But is there a stopping point for consciousness within oneness? Could there be? Could there even be a start to this oneness? Where did it show from if this God is real then what created this god? Why is there nothing but everything? What the hell is really going on here? Why am I given the chance to be conscious to these questions and be able to ask them but never be given a true answer but only what comes through my finger tips in questions?
How many times have I wrote this? How many different answers could I be given before there is no more? If there is no start and no ending
then there would be infinite answers and questions to every single question everything would be certain and nothing would be certain
so what does that really mean if all these questions move in and out like this? What the hell even then, where are we going where did we come from, from what are we as a consciousness doing? Is there a critical point in all this where enough conscious life on a planet such as earth more forward?
We have been given a sort of free roam over our thoughts to create these questions… is the point of life to ask these questions?
It must be, otherwise we as a human race would not be where we are nor would any other being or sentience. The answer to life is to question life and to always be moving towards higher understanding even though what we know will never be 100% right, but by asking questions about the questions we ask and questioning the answers we think we have about the questions we will be closer just by the sheer example of questioning all in itself.
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.”
-Albert Einstein
This is my basic thought that I believe about the thought of evolution, consciousness watching and questioning consciousness. Soon after writing these questions I ran across a man named Nassim Haramein and a lot of these questions we’re answered.
Want to know what he said? I’m sure you do, everyone should be exposed to his theories! They are amazing!

We all create. We all create everyday. We create on purpose, with intention and clarity or we create by accident, with mixed results. We make life happen, or life happens to us. We manifest our dreams or our demons. We are involved in manifesting our experience of everything whether we know it or not.

It wasn’t until the 1960’s that it became common in Western civilization to acknowledge that we individually and collectively create our reality. Some of us have come a long way in this understanding, some are misled by well intentioned but inaccurate teachings, some are just waking up to the possibilities and some remain asleep.

In the “Positive Thinking ” Days of the 1970’s we were affirming our desires. The truth about affirmations is that they encourage us to pretend to believe what we want to believe. Pretending is not believing! Remember that goofy guy on “Saturday Night Live” who looked in his mirror and chanted “I like myself. I like myself. I like myself.” Repeating what we want does not make it so. Pretending, wishing and hoping often leads to disappointment. There are methods being taught that actually muddy the waters instead of creating smooth sailing. If we are grumbling about our life and insisting that the universe hand us the winning lotto ticket we are going to think that this manifestation stuff just plain does not work!

Managing our energy, removing disaligning beliefs and holding a clear vision with feeling gets us what we want.

No matter where you are on the spectrum of understanding manifestation, you create your reality every day. Consciously or unconsciously you put into motion the energies that manifest the reality you live in. If the concept of “energy” sounds like New Age who-ha, remember our old friend Albert Einstein.

He proved that everything is energy. Solid objects as well as solidified ideas of our self and our life are simply vibrating slower than light so they appear to be real. If we are operating in the slower, denser energies of fear, worry and resistance we can easily get stuck in the undertow of misery. If we operate in the higher frequencies of intention, compassion and appreciation everything flows, moves more smoothly, and can more effortlessly be directed toward our desires. Learning to operate in the higher, more fluid vibrations is the first step to manifesting our desires and intentions.

Science has come a long way in the last century to explain what reality really is and how we influence our experience. Quantum Physics can be applied with simplicity and ease to gain a quality of life you can only imagine! It’s about as complicated as it was to learn to tie your shoes. Finding resources that help you to understand the way our universe really works is the simplest path to getting what YOU want.
Create Your Joy!

Can you “see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour?” (William Blake). I say that you can and you are, but most people do not recognize that they are constantly touching the infinite, nor do they appreciate the expansive, all-encompassing nature of their normal, every-day, here-and-now awareness.

The “Whole in every part” is a principle known by poets, mystics, great thinkers, children and ordinary people like you and I, since the beginning of time. It was intelligently presented to the scientific community of the Western world during the second half of the last century by physicist David Bohm, an associate of Albert Einstein and neurophysiologist Karl Pribram.

From Bohm’s perspective, the universe is recognized to be wholistically interconnected through resonance occurring within the underlying Unified Field (the quantum field) that connects all matter, energy and information in the cosmos. In fact, Bohm and many scientists, mystics and again: regular people like you and I, believe that despite its apparent solidity the universe is a gigantic splendidly detailed, multi-dimensional, super-hologram. I personally believe that the human brain is an organ to process, reflect and translate the holographic universe. An individual’s brain is like a portal that is connected to the super-hologram of the Grand Universe.Individuated expressions are a reflection of the Whole

xperientially, you can engage with anything in your awareness, and what may seem like a separate part is actually a whole universe inside a universe … connected to a holographic ecosystem that is interwoven into the Grand Universe.

or instance, if you recall your same favorite place that we used in the previous essay, you can use your attention to bore deeper and deeper into the details of the place … it’s history, environment, composition, climate, visitors, position on the planet and how it changes over time. Your favorite place — in the 3D physical world and also the version that you engage with inside yourself — is not solid or flat … but is multi-layered, atmospheric, energetic, and has infinite depth. It can be useful to identify, explore and discuss a layer or a part, but in reality it is not a separate, isolated thing. The way it really exists is as an orchestrated system that is woven into its immediate surroundings and is connected through the quantum field to a vast ocean of forces, beings and possibilities. Your favorite place, as grand, humble or unique as it may be, is truly an expression of the Whole cosmos and is intimately connected to It.

Another example: take a single grain of sand and enlarge it to the size of the earth. From this perspective, you now see that the billions of atoms composing it are atmospheres the size of basketballs. You may dive into a single atom and explore the forces in its depths, or you may focus your attention on fields of atoms and learn of their interconnected relationships. All this is permissible because of the holographic nature of the universe, and the infinite depth that is everywhere. Each seemingly separate part is not an island unto itself, but is an individuated reflection of the Whole Universe and is intimately woven into the fabric of It.

Even with a 3-dimensional hologram made with lasers … if you cut it into a hundred parts … one may think that each part will show a separate area of the image, but that’s not the case. With holograms, each of the smaller parts still contain a reflection of the complete, whole, 3-dimensional image.

The whole in every part nature of holograms provides us with a compelling way to understand ourselves as we are the offspring of a grand, spectacular, Universe. As reflections of it we are grand, spectacular … and holographic as well.In summary

A hologram is made of light, space and depth. It may seem to magically appear and also disappear in the twinkle of an eye, according to your angle of vision. A hologram can be viewed and experienced from an infinite number of points of view. It can be broken into a thousand pieces and when each piece is illuminated it will faithfully project the entire unbroken hologram. Hence, each seemingly separate part contains the complete, fully-assembled, unified Whole.

When you look at holographic material inside yourself, we now have the essential understanding that it is a vibrant part of the Grand Universe. It is intimately connected to you, the rest of the inner landscape and also the external world. It is connected to others, nature, evolution, and to both real and imagined realms of life. The holograms inside yourself are constantly morphing and adapting to you, the observer, as the holographic material is alive and responsive as it reflects the thoughts, feelings, dreams and inspirations that you are dialed into. Finally, the inner holographic material that you engage with repeatedly is customizing your immediate personal reality and also setting-up the unfolding of future realities for you to experience.

By varying the stresses, methods and intensities of your physical training you will continue performance improvement in the physical skills of cardiorespiratory endurance, strength, power, speed, flexibility, balance, coordination, agility, accuracy and toughness needed for functional strength, superior conditioning and fitness excellence.

Why do we physically train?

Well, for most of us it is to bring about desirable performance improvements in the physical abilities needed to meet the challenges of sport, work and life with excellence… and to improve body composition through physical activity.

That’s right… performance improvement first and appearance second.

Or, at least that’s how it should be.

The body adapts to the specific stresses it is subjected to… making it easier to perform the activity in the future and the body more efficient in handling the stress.

Well, that sounds great… so what’s the problem?

The problem is that if you do the same thing over and over again your body will adapt to a certain point… and then slow down and stop performance improvement.

Anyone that has ever trained before is guilty of doing this…

We train a certain way and see great performance improvement in the beginning… then the improvements are far and few between until they just stop all together.

Then we start asking for advice about “Breaking Plateaus” or consider using some kind of “Supplementation” to keep the performance improvements coming.

The fact is… there are better ways to spend your valuable training time and money than trying to force your body to do something it doesn’t want to do by using elaborate load and repetition training schemes and costly supplements.

Routine is your enemy if you want long-lasting and sustainable performance improvement… you must break out of the mold of predictable behavior to keep the improvements coming.

When you fall into the trap of using monotonous and unsustainable routines you inevitably end up wasting your training time trying to force improvements… instead of shifting the focus of your training to other areas in need of performance improvement.

While you grind out boring workout after monotonous routine in search of the elusive “one more rep”… the other physical skills are receiving zero training.

Therefore, you are gaining NO performance improvement in the physical skills that you are training and NO performance improvement in the physical skills that you are neglecting… meaning that you are making ZERO positive improvements in any of the physical skills regardless of all your hard work.

Now, I don’t know about you… but that does not sound like a very productive way to spend my time training.

Yet, that is how the majority of people train!

Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.”

I guess you know what I think of most “fitness” workout programs.

To combat this problem, you must plan to continue your performance improvement by deliberately varying the stresses, methods and intensities of your physical training.

Train all 10 physical skills…

Train different aspects of the skills… like maximum strength, explosive power and strength endurance.

Train different intensities of activity… like the anaerobic, anaerobic lactate and aerobic energy pathways.

Train combinations of different skills together… making you more versatile and prepared for any challenge.

Adding variety to your workouts will not only keep your over-all performance improvement on track, but it will also make it interesting and sustainable… meaning you will not only make the initial performance and body composition improvements, but you will continue to improve as long as you keep training.

Well, that sounds more like it… getting positive and lasting performance improvement results for all your physical training efforts.

The year is 2006. Patients are submerged in MRI machines that bounce magnetic fields off the body to diagnose disease, and surgeries are done with tiny lasers, without even puncturing the skin. Medical doctors now stand by in awe, watching fully awake patients receive open-heart surgery with only the anesthetic assistance of tiny needles placed on specific points.
Medicine, as well as science, has undergone a radical change in the last century. We have progressed from leeches and saws to “Cat” (CT) Scans and EKG readouts. Currently, the majority of our most sophisticated diagnostic tools are instruments that take energy readouts of the body.

Far beyond a science fiction fantasy, these are commonly used life-saving devices. Even more recent equipment includes computers that measure the strength or weakness of each organ in the body through sensors attached to the fingertips, similar to an acupuncturist taking a pulse meridian test of a patient.
In fact, all of medicine is presently reaching the point where energy will be considered the main modality in diagnosis, as well as in treatment.

Aging and Disease Slowed Down
by Tachyon Energy

When it comes to slowing down the aging process, as well as healing the body from ailments, and maintaining a healthy metabolism, new physics and ancient oriental medicine agree on a common solution: tapping into the unlimited Tachyon, or “life force” field. If this is the solution to our modern maladies, how do physicists and oriental physicians suggest that we go about accessing this field, and how exactly does it help us? Why do we age, and why do we get sick? Disease and aging, according to physics, are effects of “entropy”.
Entropy is the second law of thermodynamics, and describes the tendency of all matter to be digressing to a state of increasing disorder.
All systems in the universe obey this fundamental law; living things fall apart over time. Man is no exception to this rule. Our aging process, as well as disease progression, even the deterioration of the coherent state of our mind, is due to entropy. However, although all life tends towards entropy, there also exists an opposing force that seems to defy, even counter, the tendency towards disorder. This “anti-entropic” force was named “Tachyon Energy” by Dr. Gerald Fienberg, a physicist at Columbia University in 1966.

The main attribute of Tachyon energy is its ability to hold the very matter of our universe together like a glue. Nicola Tesla, an experimental physicist, was one of the first to put Tachyon, (or “Gravity Field” energy, as he called it) to practical use. Best known for his inventions in AC electricity field, Tesla’s goal was to provide an alternative energy source for all people. Physicists such as William Tiller, Ph.D., at Stanford University have devoted decades to the study of Tachyon energy, and it remains as yet a very new and exciting field in physics, as well as the implications in the use of the Tachyon field for health. Tachyon energy is fundamental to our existence, and we utilize it in all of our life processes. Digestion, for example, is the trans-formation of matter from a simple state to a highly organized, complex form.

Metabolism is also a “Tachyon” function of the body, as well as the healing of bones. In fact, whenever you sustain an injury, the fact that the body knits itself together, as in after surgery, is a “Tachyon” effect. Our skin renews itself fueled by this force, and our organs maintain their function, and cleanse themselves using Tachyon Energy. Our daily vitality, according to oriental physicians, is proportional to the amount of Tachyon, or life force, energy that we attract and contain.

For an Audio/Video Introduction to Tachyon Energy click on the following web address: http://www.tachyon-partners.com/member/member.asp?SubModule=LwLimitsdemo&MemberID=1963

A Medical Doctor’s Perspective
by Dr. F. Ghaly, M.D.

“Tachyon Energy?”
My introduction to the field of Energetic medicine originally came abruptly. I held back a sarcastic remark as my colleague, Dr. Fontain insisted that a mysterious “Tachyonized™ Belt” had “made me feel 10 years younger… all my aches and pains are gone, and my patients are noticing the difference in my energy level.”

By now, I am getting accustomed to these calls from colleagues. It seems that the medical field itself is going through a transition, and the doctors I associate with are increasingly more interested in non traditional methods. Also, having directed an international anti-aging clinic, many of my patients come from overseas and offer me a more progressive perspective on health.

Still, his claims did seem a little too incredible to be true, and I immediately shelved it in my mind under “U” (unbelievable). Yet, my investigative mind spurred me to embark on a search for other doctors’ research on the topic. I found a paper written by Dr. Vlach, a family physician, and read that his father’s suffering from a sciatic condition (back, leg and foot pain), and diabetes had been alleviated with the use of several Tachyonized™ items.

This information inspired me to look further, and I then came across a report from Dr. Pearl, M.D. She reported an energy increase in five out of five patients, recovery from degenerative disks, as well as intestinal problems, headaches, cystic mastitis, knee problems, allergies and success in alleviating a large varicosity on a patient’s leg.
In a science journal “Raum & Zeit”, a quote from a Dr. Scott included information on how a patient recovered from tendonitis of the foot (Plantar Fascitis). Following this, there was a published recommendation from a surgeon who had used the belt to “reduce pain from a ruptured disk” in his back. He reported his surprise at a “rapid healing”.

The clincher for me was when I was reading a fitness magazine, and an Olympic gold medalist stated that, “With the Tachyonized™ materials, I healed in a matter of two weeks from a tear which the doctors had told me would keep me out of the Olympic trials.” Impressed by fellow doctors’ reports, I agreed to try a Tachyonized™ belt, at first just to satisfy my own curiosity. I was surprised to find that during the times I would wear it, I felt a surge in energy, especially in my normal tired moments in the late afternoon. Being a doctor, of course, I tried many experiments to make sure that the effects were not just a placebo. Despite my initial disbelief, I was astonished at the difference that it made. My family, also, has reported relief and healing from various ailments. Out of all the nutrition and exercise routines that I have tried personally, I must say that my experience in using Tachyon Energy was quite profound.

A Revolution in Physics Leads to Healing Technologies

Tiny particles of matter constitute our bodies and our entire universe, holding everything together only through dynamic relationships of energy. 99% of our physical body consists of “empty” space, which leaves the remaining 1% as the entire amount of physical matter that makes up our individual existence.
Albert Einstein estimated that the total physical mass of all of mankind combined would comprise the area of a baseball. Considering these facts, it seems rather ironic, that the majority of medical treatments available at present emphasize physical and chemical medicine, manipulation, and surgery. Wouldn’t we be more effective and direct in addressing the problems of energy fields, if energy constitutes 99% of the body?

Renowned physicians such as Dr. Hans Nieper, M.D. (New York Academy of Sciences), are concluding that the discovery of “Tachyon Energy” within the previously assumed empty space of matter will create a revolution in our current view of medicine. In his book,”Revolution in Technology, Medicine and Society”, Dr. Nieper concludes, “Space is filled with a Tachyon field, the energy concentration of which is extremely high.” Other scientists have calculated that the potential energy within the average sized person would be equivalent to approximately 150,000 liters of gasoline, enough energy to light up a small town.

With these discoveries, any doctor could undoubtedly agree that energy is more fundamental to our health than nutrition, exercise, or medical intervention. This assumption is not only based on the physics of energy, but also on the functioning of the human body.
Individuals with a very high polarization of their cellular system convert more Tachyon (life force) energy, according to Dr. Hans Nieper, pointing out that their need to eat is small compared to others. He suggests further that individuals with such a state of existence also seem to demonstrate a higher immunity to disease.

Chinese doctors, when asked about the secret behind healthy centenarians in their culture, explain this phenomenon as “individuals with high Chi (life force) energy”. Einstein himself, when questioned about medicine and science concluded, “All of our endeavors are based upon the belief that existence should have a harmonious structure”.
I personally believe this to be true, and after all of my research and experimentation, I also agree with Dr. Nieper’s statement that the discovery of the Tachyon field will cause a revolution in technology, medicine and society. The age of diagnosis and healing with energy has arrived.

In physics, a unified field theory allows all of the fundamental forces between elementary particles to be written in terms of a single field. There is no accepted unified field theory yet, and this remains an open line of research. The term was coined by Albert Einstein who attempted to unify the general theory of relativity with electromagnetism. It’s the long sought after Theory of Everything!

Wouldn’t the theory of everything be what’s generally called God? :-)

More specifically matter, all matter (which we now wonder if anything is matter) is organized energy. I am energy, you are energy, we all BE energy! Some days I am far more energetic than other days. The point that I am heading to is that so much of what we knew, we didn’t! The world is not a MACHINE. The world is ENERGY, VIBRATION, and FREQUENCY. The earth has a vibration and each organ in my body has a distinction energy or vibration.

The good news in all of this is that instead of the world being a CLOCK (machine) that has been wound up and is winding down, the earth, solar system, universe and all is more like a THOUGHT! Yep, and more people than mathematician James Jean is on to that concept. Hang on now. Our thoughts, my thoughts are a part of the universe’s thought. What I am THINKING effects the world in some fashion- small though it may be.

Valerie Hunt put it this way, “The universe is a unified network of events and relationships in which the mind and intelligence and the human soul are integral parts of existence, rather than he products of nature.” Lest you write off this awesome ladies musing, let me remind you that Valeria Dr. Valerie Hunt is an internationally recognized pioneer scientist of human energy fields, holding advanced degrees in psychology and physiological science from Columbia University.

There are no firm boundaries between all of these “fields”.

What this says to us going forward into the year 2012 (and beyond) is that each one of us is a part of the problem of life or a part of the solution(s). So what will it be over the next 3-4 years? Will we continue to kill, separate, and divide or will we discover who we are and transcend the ego to rise who we really ARE? We have a choice- we collectively, we individually. We can go our own separate ways thinking we know it all or we can compliment the vast universe within which we ARE and truly find the unified field, the theory of everything.

Which way will we choose?

At school I was useless at math. So was Albert Einstein I believe. Many years after leaving school I enrolled in a distance learning course at a university for a diploma in datametrics. I did well in all the computer courses, but I had to do a module in physics as well. I went to write the exam and managed to get a magnificent 38%.

The University allowed me to rewrite a supplementary exam, and I had two months to get myself sorted out. I had already learnt the work with all my heart. What more could I do?

Two months later I rewrote the exam, and passed with a mark of 88% ! This enabled me to pass the Diploma cum laude, with distinction.

So, how did I do that?

Well, I discovered a secret to learning subjects that involve figures, numerical problems and the like. The secret is simple: practice.

The text book I was working out of had the answers to all the problems at the back of the book. So I tried to do the sums without looking at the answer. Then I would check. If the answer was wrong, I would try again, using a different approach. If that didn’t work out, then I would start with the answer and work backwards to the start. Then I would do it again from the front.

Then I would do the next question. I did them all. I solved every question that I could find. I practiced and practiced.

I worked in pencil, with an eraser handy, so that if the sum got messy I could clean it up. I used lots of scrap paper. It was hard work, but after awhile the elation of solving more and more questions first time round started making it a breeze to do.

So to summarize:

1. Get a book with lots of problems to solve in it. Make sure it has the answers in the book.

2. Only look at the answers to check if you got it right.

3. If you can’t get it right, try again.

4. If you still can’t get it right, start with the answer and work backwards.

5. Do every problem you can find. Do them again if you are not yet confident.

6. Be prepared to work hard, and it will pay off big time.

Just the other day I gave this advice to a granny who was looking after her 14 year old granddaughter. This young girl was failing math and Granny couldn’t help her much. Three weeks later she saw me again, and couldn’t wait to thank me. She explained that it had made a tremendous difference, and her granddaughter was actually starting to enjoy math, and was passing the tests easily.

Like that guy Hunter said in the TV series of the same name — It works for me!

Duncan Kelly

Yes, the roulette wheel can be beaten short term, and no, it can not be beaten long term. The mathematical advantage is and always will be on the side of the casino. There will always be winners but this does not concern the casinos because there will also be losers and the casino’s mathematical ” house edge ” will always ensure that there are more losers than winners over the long term.

Do a google search and you will find many websites and system sellers promoting their “unbeatable” roulette systems, and telling you how they gave up their job to do this full-time. Please don’t be fooled. Roulette, by it’s very nature is a game of pure chance. We can not apply any skill or judgement to predict the outcome of the next spin, nor can our actions influence the game in any way. You can certainly apply some progressive staking systems to make big profits from roulette and you will almost certainly get away with it for some time. The day will come however, when you hit that losing streak and your profits are wiped out. Maybe not today, next week or next month but that day will surely come if you play roulette every day. If anyone tries to convince you that they have a system that is guaranteed to win at roulette .. don’t believe it. If you only ever take one piece of gambling advice let it be this … You will never earn a living by playing roulette!

There are many roulette systems out there and their basic principles have all been used for centuries in one form or another. We will just look at one of them:

The Martingale System is downright dangerous. The system involves betting on the 50/50 chance outcomes which are known as “outside bets”. These are red/black and odd/even. It should be noted that these are not true 50/50 bets because there is always the chance that the ball will land on the green zero pocket (0). This will always give the casino a slight advantage. The American roulette wheel has an extra pocket, the double-zero (00) which effectively doubles the house edge and should be avoided at all costs.

The system simply involves betting a small amount and then doubling your stake after every losing spin until you win. In theory it would be a perfect system if:

1) You have unlimited funds (who has?)

2) The casinos allowed unlimited bet sizes (they don’t). You will reach a point where the required stake is higher then the table limit.

Some people have the belief that if they have had 2 or 3 losing spins in a row that their luck must change soon because the ball must be due to land on red soon. This is a dangerous misconception. Does a roulette ball have a memory and think that ” it’s about time that I landed on red “? Of course it doesn’t. Your chances of winning the next spin are exactly the same as the previous spin.

Is online roulette any different from traditional casino roulette? The only difference is that the game is quicker. The probabitlity of winning or losing is exactly the same. Some people may try to convince you that if you have had a losing run the chances of your 50/50 bet winning are much better because the software must provide an even distribution of numbers. This is absolute nonsense. Online roulette software uses a RNG (random number generator) which does exactly as it’s name suggests … it generates numbers randomly, just as in real life. Over an infinite number of spins you will get an even distribution of numbers but there will be short-term fluctuations, which will lead to losing streaks and winning streaks.

As stated previously, if you do use a roulette system you will almost certainly profit short-term but over the long-term the casino’s mathematical edge will defeat any system. Check out www.bankbooster.com/roulette

A famous quote:

“the only way anyone can possibly win at roulette is by stealing the money from the table when the croupier isn’t looking” .. Albert Einstein

“I was 24 years old when I first began thinking and speaking in a foreign language. It was like being released from prison. I saw my cell door swinging open and my mind flying free. That was over 40 years ago, but the picture is as fresh now as if it had just happened.”

I am a linguistic iconoclast. Throughout my life (I am now in my seventh decade), I have heard the mantra that learning a foreign language gives you invaluable insights into the cultures of the people who speak it. I don’t believe it.

In addition to my native English (I grew up in Southern California), I have become fluent in two other languages and have a good working knowledge of three more. I doubt that all this effort has given me any insights into the cultures of the people who speak these languages. At least no insights that I couldn’t have acquired more easily in 30 – 60 minutes by reading a well-written essay or in a few hours by attending well-crafted social-cultural lectures.

By contrast, I have acquired a deeper understanding of science.

What does science have to do with language? Actually, very little. But it has a lot to do with flexible thinking. And this is where science and language learning converge.

Contrary to the common belief, science is not about certainty but rather uncertainty. Good scientists are always looking for what has been overlooked, i.e. they are always searching for surprises and welcome them when they happen. They know that moment we believe a phenomenon is “natural” and must be that way, or that it is “unnatural” and cannot be that way, we are either heading for trouble or missing out on something important.

For example, Albert Einstein investigated the “unnatural” belief that a beam of light in space must always have the same velocity; other scientists had spent decades trying to disprove this. He wanted to see where this “unnatural” might lead. In fact, it lead to e = mc², the formula for atomic energy, and transformed the world.

It is not necessary to be a genius like Einstein (who spoke German, French, Italian and English), or even a scientist at all, in order to profit from the mind-stretching benefits of learning foreign languages. In our daily lives we all make assumptions about how the world works; often we are not even aware that we are making them. And that’s the danger. If we are insensitive to our assumptions, we are almost certain to end up believing things that aren’t true and refusing to believe things that are true.

Learning languages can help correct this parlous state of affairs. How? Quite simply, because nowhere else are our assumptions more rapidly and forcefully challenged by other assumptions about what is or isn’t natural that are equally valid.

Here are some simple examples.

1; Trailing Adjectives

It is “natural” to put adjectives before a noun, e.g. “an unidentified flying object”. Well not really. Many languages put adjectives after the noun, e.g. “un objet volant non-identifie”. You could argue the “naturalness” of these conflicting practices both ways. In English, we prefer to describe something before identifying what it is, as if to build up the suspense. In French, they prefer to identify what it is first and describe it afterwards. Who is right?

2. Optional Pronouns

English speakers take it for granted that constructing a sentence requires a subject and a verb. The subject can be either a proper noun (John talks) or a pronoun (He talks). If you have any acquaintance with Spanish, you know that in this language the pronoun is usually not necessary. You would still say “Juan habla” (John talks); however, in most cases you would simply say “Habla” for “He talks”. In fact, if you use a pronoun where it isn’t required (“El habla”), you would be committing a serious error.

3. No Distinction between Male and Female

English speakers learning French are often puzzled by the language’s apparent inability to distinguish between male and female. For example, “This is his book” and “This is her book” in French are both “C’est son livre”. The possessive adjective “son” means both “his” and “her”. If it is absolutely necessary to distinguish between “his” book and “her” book, there is a way of doing so. However, it is employed only when absolutely necessary.

But isn’t it always absolutely necessary? It seems so unnatural not to specify whether the book’s owner is male or female. Isn’t this fundamental information?

It may seem so, but it isn’t. By the same logic, it should be fundamental information to distinguish between male and female when saying “This is their book”, but we don’t. “This is your book” can be either male, female, or both, but we never specify. Even “This is my book” can be either male or female, but again we don’t specify.

Having grown up speaking only English, you probably have never noticed this inconsistency in the language. Neither had I. I simply knew that is was “natural” to distinguish between his and her book, until a Frenchman asked me why. I couldn’t tell him.

4. Inclusive and Explicit Forms of “You”

In English, we have only one way of saying “you”, which covers all situations. Many languages have several ways of saying it, notably the “formal you” and the “familiar you”. English used to have a familiar “you” (thou), but it has essentially disappeared. But in French and Spanish, for example, it is still widely used, making speakers of these languages feel that English is somehow “incomplete”.

Spanish speakers are particularly poorly served. In their language, not only do they have a formal and familiar “you”, they have them both in the singular and plural. In other words, in Spanish there are four ways of saying “you”: formal singular (one person), familiar singular (one person), formal plural (several persons), familiar plural (several persons). For Spanish speakers, having these four options is natural and necessary; not having them in English is unnatural and constricting.

5. Exclusive and Explicit Verb Forms

English has very few verb forms. For example, in the present tense we say “I cook”, “You cook”, “He cooks”, “She cooks”, “We cook”, “They cook”. In other words, there are only two forms of the verb, “cook” and “cooks”, depending on whom we are talking about. In the past tense English has only one verb form, e.g. “I cooked”, “You cooked”, “He cooked”, “She cooked”, “We cooked”, “They cooked”. Likewise in the future tense; everyone “will cook”.

In other languages this is quite unnatural, because they use distinct forms for each different person being talked about. For example, in French and Spanish “I” is associated with one verb form, “you” with a distinctly different verb form, “we” with yet another form, etc. And of course there are distinct verb forms for the “familiar you” and “formal you” (singular in French, and both singular and plural in Spanish).

But doesn’t all these differences make other languages significantly more complex than English? Yes, indeed. However, they also make them significantly more precise. For speakers of these languages, it is crucially important to make these distinctions, because this is how their minds have been trained to work. Just as it is crucially important for English speakers to distinguish between “his” and “hers”, because this is how our minds have been trained to work.

Examples of these different ways of doing things from one language to another are endless. Each time we encounter them our mind opens up a little bit more, because the unexpressed assumptions we all carry around with us are continually being challenged.

Growing up in California, I used to be strongly opposed to language learning because it seemed so difficult and pointless. I have since changed my mind. I now strongly advocate language learning. Not because knowing a foreign language teaches us very much about others, but because it teaches us so much about ourselves.

Accepting that language learning is more about mind expansion than culture implies that language teaching must be fundamentally reformed.

I live in Belgium, where speaking two or three languages is the norm rather than the exception. This is generally true throughout Europe. In these countries, teaching languages in the belief that people will actually use them makes sense. The mind-expanding aspects of the effort come along as a welcomed bonus.

However for English speakers in general, and Americans in particular, it is almost impossible to learn to speak foreign languages because it is so difficult to practice them outside of the classroom. Here, the mind-expanding aspects of language learning should be the primary objective, and courses designed and taught in consequence.

If this were done, I believe that the American fear – and dare I say loathing – of other languages could be reversed. The schools would lay down the foundations of a language without trying to force students into the hopeless and demoralizing task of trying to speak it.

With this foundation firmly in place, when a person traveled to an area where that language is spoken, he would be able to rapidly turn his passive knowledge into active use. Even better, even if he traveled to an area with a totally different language, he would understand how languages work and therefore be ready to learn the new language rapidly and without fear.

Finally, the general aversion – and again dare I say loathing – many monolingual English speakers have of science and technology might also moderate. A mind made flexible by language learning would find it much easier to grasp and appreciate scientific principles than one still imprisoned in single-language rigidity.

In an age dominated by science and technology, surely this would be a benefit of ineffable importance.
